Alumni spotlight – Gulia Ermat kyzy

The program for young intellectuals has improved my qualifications both as a teacher and a master student at the level of academic writing and scientific research with its step-by-step instructions. Today I clearly know that I have become better at carrying out scientific research and writing papers more confidently. I want to extend my gratitude to my mentors at RICA for giving me the opportunity to realize this potential and use it in the right direction.
Gulia Ermat kyzy is a lecturer at Bishkek State University.
As part of the program, she conducted research and wrote an article on “Use of the First Language (L1) in EFL Learning: A view from teaching perspective in Kyrgyzstan”.
Her article is devoted to the practical use of the native language of students in mastering the English language.
Foreign language teaching methods need a more effective approach in the bilingual environment of Kyrgyzstan, which includes a revision of the use of L1.
The study focused on the application of psycholinguistic principles to English language teaching methodology in an attempt to propose a new strategy. Article will be published in the SSLLT journal (STUDIES IN SECOND LANGUAGE LEARNING AND TEACHING).
Our Young Intellectuals have done a great job, we are proud of them.
Stay tuned for more interesting posts!
